Stress shows up in many forms and areas of your life. Let’s look at 3 things you can implement to help control your stress.
Deep Breathing: When you start feeling stressed and overwhelmed, stop and close your eyes. Breathe in through your nose for a count of 4, hold for a count of 7, and blow out slowly through your mouth for a count of 8. Repeat 3 to 4 times. Think, breathe in calmness and blow out anything that doesn’t serve you.
Use essential oils: mix lavender, peppermint, and orange in equal parts. Pour 4 to 5 drops in the palm of your hand, rub hands together, (do not get on fingertips), raise hands to nose and take a deep breath in and hold in for a count of 10. Repeat 3 to 4 times.
Releasing tension: Sit straight in a chair with feet on the floor, or lay down flat. Begin at your feet and tighten all of your muscles moving slowly up your body until you reach your head. Hold tight for 1 to 2 minutes. Then starting with your head work down your body relaxing each muscle until you reach your feet. Take a deep breath and slowly exhale.
